<br /> 9. <br />Regular Meeting September 25, 2000 Page 9 <br /> PROGRAM FOR FISCAL YEAR 2000-2001; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br /> EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Ms. Hughson moved for adoption of the Resolution with amendment to require <br />the Hispanic Chamber Board provide minutes of their meetings to the City, <br />and that the following three Resolutions also be adopted with similar <br />language that the minutes of the Hispanic Chamber Board, Convention and <br />Visitors Bureau Board and Economic Development Council be provided to the <br />City, and Mr. Mayhew seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (Mr. <br />Doiron not present to vote on this matter). <br />The captions of Items 10.D. (18), 10.D. (19) and 10. D. (20) read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br /> APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE SAN MARCOS HISPANIC <br /> CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR THE PROVISION OF TOURISM PROMOTIONAL SERVICES <br /> DURING THE CITY'S 2000-2001 FISCAL YEAR; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER <br /> TO EXECUTE THIS CONTRACT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br /> APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE GREATER <br /> SAN MARCOS ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL AND THE SAN MARCOS AREA <br /> CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR FISCAL <br /> YEAR 2000-2001; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THIS <br /> AGREEMENT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br /> APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY AND THE SAN MARCOS AREA CHAMBER <br /> OF COMMERCE FOR TOURISM PROMOTIONAL SERVICES DURING THE CITY'S 2000- <br /> 2001 FISCAL YEAR; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THIS <br /> CONTRACT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval of an appointment to the <br />Sesquicentennial Committee. Mr. Cox moved to appoint Viola Stillman as a <br />downtown representative, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration approval to set the City Council <br />Regular Meeting dates for December, 2000. Mr. Moseley moved to set the <br />dates for Monday, December 4, 2000, and Monday, December 11, 2000, and Mr. <br />Doiron seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Chiu introduced a discussion regarding the application of ~unrelated <br />persons" Ordinance provisions to Duplex Zoning Districts and direction to <br />Staff. Mr. Cox indicated the need to consider this subject matter. The <br />Council indicated there were a number of areas where this problem existed <br />in San Marcos and how it also creates a parking problem. Mr. Taylor <br />stated if the Council wanted to consider a nonconforming use amortization <br />period, he would bring back a recommendation if so directed. Mr. Doiron <br />stated he does not want to meddle with people's investments. Mr. Cox and <br />Mr. Mayhew stated they were interested in looking at the amortization <br />
