(10) removed from the <br />consent agenda, adoption of a Resolution, the caption which reads as <br />follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br /> APPROVING AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO THE AGREEMENT WITH BROWNING-FERRIS, INC. <br /> TO INCREASE RATES FOR COLLECTION AND DISPOSAL OF RESIDENTIAL SOLID <br /> WASTE AND RECYCLABLE MATERIALS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br /> EXECUTE THE AMENDMENT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Ms. Hughson moved to table the Resolution and Mr. Moseley seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration Item 1a.D. (11) removed from the <br />consent agenda, adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br /> URGING THE TEXAS MUNICIPAL LEAGUE TO SUPPORT LEGISLATION TO <br /> STRENGTHEN COUNTY SUBDIVISION DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY; AND DECLARING AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mr. Doiron moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Moseley seconded <br />the motion. Bill Burnett stated he appreciated the Council agendizing <br />this matter and that Hays County would be asking all cities in Hays County <br />to consider passing such a Resolution. He stated counties need the same <br />management tools cities have, and that sixty percent of the growth in Hays <br />County is outside cities' limits. He urged approval of the Resolution. <br />The Council voted unanimously for adoption of the Resolution. <br />Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration Item 1a.D. (13) removed from the <br />consent agenda, adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br /> REVISING THE COMPOSITION OF THE SAN MARCOS SESQUICENTENNIAL <br /> COMMITTEE; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Ms. Hughson moved for adoption of the Resolution and to amend the number <br />of members from fifteen to seventeen and Mr. Mayhew seconded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration Item 10.D.
