iv. Design and prepare intersection geometric layouts, intersection plan and profile <br />sheets and intersection contour sheets. <br />v. Design and prepare roadway details for McCarty Road and intersecting cross streets. <br />vi. Provide miscellaneous roadway details (driveways, ADA access, etc.). <br />B. Drainage Design/Plans/Details <br />i. Prepare drainage area maps for both existing conditions and proposed improvements <br />for the entire Project limit. <br />ii. Locate and analyze existing drainage structures. <br />iii. Compute hydrology and prepare hydraulic data sheets required for the drainage <br />structures within the Project limits. <br />iv. Design and provide plans/details for proposed drainage structures. <br />v. Utilize Geopak Drainage, Culvert, HEC-RAS and/or other federal or state approved <br />software for analysis/design of drainage structures, as appropriate. <br />vi. Design and provide plans for a storm water pollution plan, which will comply with <br />TCEQ requirements. <br />C. Signing, Pavement Marking, and Signalization Design <br />i. Design and provide plans and details for warning, regulatory and guide signs (large <br />and small) in accordance with TxDOT standard requirements and the Texas Manual <br />on Uniform Traffic Control Devices ("MUTCD"). <br />ii. Design and provide plans and details for pavement markings. <br />iii. Coordinate design of proposed signals (by others) with the intersection at IH-35. <br />D. Illumination and Designs/Details <br />i. Design and provide plans and details for safety lighting at intersections and conduit <br />for future illumination along Project limits. <br />ii. Coordinate with the City, Hays County, and TxDOT to determine what type of <br />lighting will be installed. <br />E. Construction Sequence and Traffic Control Plan <br />i. Determine/design the Project construction sequence and design traffic control plan <br />based upon the MUTCD, latest TxDOT Austin District traffic control design <br />requirements, City guidelines and adjoining project traffic control plan(s). The <br />Engineer will give consideration to traffic volumes, drainage (temporary & final), <br />utilities, right-of--way restrictions, access to main lanes/frontage roads, access to <br />adjacent properties and cross streets, and other items which will ultimately affect the <br />safe handling of traffic during construction. <br />ii. Prepare layouts, details, typical sections, and narratives for each phase based upon the <br />agreed sequence of construction. <br />KBR McCarty Agreement 2008 <br />5 <br />
