F. Earthwork Design/Computations/Cross Sections <br />i. Provide existing ground cross sections along the proposed alignment from a 3D <br />planimetric file supplemented with field survey data supplied by the City. <br />ii. Utilize the GEOPAK program to plot design cross-sections and compute earthwork <br />quantities. <br />iii. Prepare reproducible earthwork cross-sections on a grid for submittal to the City and <br />tabulate earthwork quantities. <br />iv. Provide earthwork cross-sections in a suitable electronic format for use by the City. <br />G. General Notes/Specifications/Standards/Certifications <br />i. Provide required general notes, specification data and special provisions. <br />ii. Prepare any additional special provisions or special specifications, as required. <br />iii. Select standard TxDOT drawings applicable to the Project, modify as required, and <br />fill in title blocks. <br />H. Estimated Quantities/Cost Estimate/Construction Time Estimate <br />i. Prepare a list of construction bid items. <br />ii. Compute estimated quantities for all bid items. <br />iii. Develop basis of estimate. <br />iv. Compute estimated cost of construction using current unit prices. <br />v. Prepare Estimated Quantity Sheets. <br />vi. Determine the number of work days allowed for the construction contract and prepare <br />a schedule identifying major work items, critical path items, production rates and <br />estimated construction time. <br />I. Miscellaneous Items <br />i. With City approval, modify TxDOT or City standards for Project application as <br />needed. <br />ii. Provide a final CD of all plan files and file name documentation as a record of the <br />design sent to construction. <br />iii. Submit 60%, 100% and final mylar plan sets and required documentation for each <br />submittal. <br />iv. Prepare a reproduction set of the final design plans to be provided to City. <br />1.6 TASK 5 -ENVIRONMENTAL PERMITTING <br />1.6.1 The Engineer will coordinate environmental permits with the City, but will not perform <br />any environmental studies, environmental planning, or environmental permitting other than <br />TCEQ permitting or implementation of City requirements into plans. <br />KBR McCarty Agreement 2008 <br />6 <br />
