A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY, HAYS COUNTY, THE SAN MARCOS CONSOLIDATED INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT AND RENE' BATES AUCTIONEERS, INC. FOR THE PROVISION OF AUCTIONEERING SERVICES; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Resolution tabled: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF NOTEBOOK COMPUTERS FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT FROM PCS, INC. THROUGH THE STATE GENERAL SERVICES COMMISSION'S CATALOGUE PURCHASING PROCEDURE; AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING MANAGER TO EXECUTE PURCHASING DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration Item 12 removed from the consent agenda, adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND GUADALUPE COUNTY FOR THE CITY'S PROVISION OF LIBRARY SERVICES; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Ms. Hughson moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Moseley seconded the motion. Ms. Hughson expressed concern for those who have already paid the fee. She asked what fees are collected from adults, and Ms. Langenkamp stated approximately $200 per month for out of county fees, and that users may pay $8 for a 3-month period or $25 annually. Ms. Langenkamp advised the Council Guadalupe County called the middle of October to say they want to continue the library service. Mr. Moseley stated he would like the users tracked by county and this information provided to the Council annually. The Council voted unanimously for adoption of the Resolution. Mayor Chiu introduced the City Manager's Report. Mr. Gilley stated the Council will need to set dates for the January visioning and February policy statement workshops. Mr. Gilley will propose dates for the Council's consideration. Mayor Chiu introduced the City Attorney's Report. Ms. Russell had no report.
