FOR THE PROVISION OF AUCTIONEERING SERVICES; AUTHORIZING THE <br /> CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND <br /> DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Resolution tabled: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br /> APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF NOTEBOOK COMPUTERS FOR THE POLICE <br /> DEPARTMENT FROM PCS, INC. THROUGH THE STATE GENERAL SERVICES <br /> COMMISSION'S CATALOGUE PURCHASING PROCEDURE; AUTHORIZING THE <br /> PURCHASING MANAGER TO EXECUTE PURCHASING DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE <br /> CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration Item 12 removed from the consent <br /> agenda, adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br /> APPROVING AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND GUADALUPE <br /> COUNTY FOR THE CITY'S PROVISION OF LIBRARY SERVICES; AUTHORIZING THE <br /> CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND <br /> DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Ms. Hughson moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Moseley seconded <br /> the motion. Ms. Hughson expressed concern for those who have already paid <br /> the fee. She asked what fees are collected from adults, and Ms. <br /> Langenkamp stated approximately $200 per month for out of county fees, and <br /> that users may pay $8 for a 3-month period or $25 annually. Ms. <br /> Langenkamp advised the Council Guadalupe County called the middle of <br /> October to say they want to continue the library service. Mr. Moseley <br /> stated he would like the users tracked by county and this information <br /> provided to the Council annually. The Council voted unanimously for <br /> adoption of the Resolution. <br /> Mayor Chiu introduced the City Manager's Report. Mr. Gilley stated the <br /> Council will need to set dates for the January visioning and February <br /> policy statement workshops. Mr. Gilley will propose dates for the <br /> Council's consideration. <br /> Mayor Chiu introduced the City Attorney's Report. Ms. Russell had no <br /> report. <br />
