<br /> 182. <br />Regular Meeting December 4, 2000 Page 4 <br />historical tour of San Marcos, shopping or tour of specific City <br />facilities, such as the water treatment plant, Activity Center or other <br />facilities. The City Clerk was directed to prepare a mailing with an RSVP <br />response to see what everyone would be interested in attending. <br />Mayor Chiu introduced the City Manager's Report. Mr. Gilley had no report <br />at this meeting. <br />Mayor Chiu introduced the City Attorney's Report. Mr. Taylor had no <br />report at this meeting. <br />Mayor Chiu introduced the City Council's Report. (1) Mr. Cox stated a <br />citizen had indicated to him the stage that was constructed for use by <br />Sights and Sounds is not aesthetically pleasing and wanted to know if the <br />City might do something to make it look better, such as landscaping. (2) <br />Mr. Cox stated the Animal Shelter needs to be discussed in February when <br />the Council prepares a policy statement, but Mr. Cox expressed concern <br />whether or not the animals had food. Mr. Gilley stated he was sure the <br />Animal Shelter is not out of food but will verify that information. (3) <br />Mr. Cox requested the City Manager provide the time frame for the <br />Transportation Master Plan, and Mr. Gilley stated he would provide that <br />information to the Council. <br />Mayor Chiu introduced an Executive Session pursuant to the Government <br />Code, Sections 551.072 and 551.073, to discuss the purchase of real <br />property (San Marcos River area), exchange of real property <br />(Sessom/Comanche Street area), and negotiated contracts for prospective <br />gifts or donations to the City (greenspace acquisition - Westover area); <br />Section 551.074, to discuss evaluation of public officers (City Manager, <br />City Attorney, City Clerk, Municipal Court Judge); and Section 551.086, to <br />discuss commercial or financial information the City has received from a <br />business prospect with which the City is conducting economic development <br />negotiations, or to deliberate the offer of a financial or other incentive <br />to such a business prospect (South IH35/McCarty Lane area). Mr. Moseley <br />moved the Council adjourn into Executive Session at 7:22 p.m. and Mr. <br />Doiron seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (Mr. Moseley left the <br />meeting at this time - 7:22 p.m.). <br />Mr. Doiron moved the Council reconvene at 8:31 p.m. and Mr. Mayhew <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />The meeting adjourned at 8:32 p.m. on motion made by Mr. Doiron and <br />seconded by Ms. Tatum. <br /> ()~rr(~ <br /> David Chiu <br /> Mayor <br />
