Ms. Hughson moved to reappoint Allyn <br />Gill and to appoint Jeff Osborn and Mr. Mihalkanin moved to appoint <br />Patrick Cosgrove, which passed unanimously. The remaining appointment <br />will be postponed until after the Election on May 4, 2002. <br />Mayor Chiu introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a <br />Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br /> AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING A 20.95 <br /> ACRE, MORE OR LESS, TRACT OF PROPERTY LOCATED BETWEEN THE 100 AND 200 <br /> BLOCKS OF RIDGEWOOD DRIVE AND THE 100 BLOCK OF EAST SIERRA CIRCLE <br /> FROM "R-l" SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (LOW DENSITY) AND "TH-2" <br /> TOWNHOUSE RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT (MEDIUM DENSITY) TO "P" PUBLIC AND <br /> INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT¡ INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS¡ PROVIDING <br /> PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS¡ AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br />Mr. Taylor filed a disclosure affidavit-real property and left the <br />Chambers during this item. Mayor Chiu opened the public hearing and asked <br />if anyone wished to speak. No one did, so Mayor Chiu closed the public <br />hearing. Mr. Cox moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance, and Ms. <br />Tatum seconded the motion. Ms. Hughson stated she is no longer a partial <br />owner of property in the vicinity (a small strip of land next to Sierra <br />Circle), which has now been given to the City. The council agreed.
