She stated she was also with the Friends of San Marcos Animal Shelter and was speaking for the animals who cannot speak for themselves. She also stated she wanted San Marcos to be recognized as animal friendly, and humane education is needed. Mayor Habingreither introduced for consideration approval of four appointments to the Housing Authority Board. Mr. Montoya moved to reappoint Rose Brooks, Michelle Ricks as the Housing Representative and to appoint Carlos Tijerina and James Velasquez. Ms. Tatum moved to reappoint Georgia Cheatham. On roll call the following vote was recorded: Cheatham: Narvaiz, Habingreither, Mayhew and Tatum. Ricks: Mihalkanin, Montoya, Narvaiz, Habingreither, Taylor, Mayhew and Tatum. Tijerina: Mihalkanin, Montoya, Narvaiz, Habingreither, Taylor and Tatum. Velasquez: Mihalkanin, Montoya, Taylor and Mayhew. Brooks: Mihalkanin, Montoya, Narvaiz, Habingreither, Taylor, Mayhew and Tatum. Ms. Brooks was reappointed, Ms.Ricks was reappointed as the Housing Representative and Mr. Tijerina was appointed. On a second roll call the following vote was recorded: Cheatham: Narvaiz, Habingreither, Mayhew and Tatum. Velasquez: Mihalkanin, Montoya and Taylor. Ms. Cheatham was reappointed to serve as the fourth member. Mayor Habingreither introduced for consideration approval of two appointments to the Human Development Commission. No nominations were received and this will be rescheduled. Mayor Habingreither introduced for consideration approval of a City Council representative to the Community Action, Directors. Ms. Tatum moved to appoint Mr. Montoya as the representative and Mr. Taylor second the motion. On roll following vote was recorded. of an appointment Inc.
