<br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />September 23, 2002 <br /> <br />63. <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced for consideration approval of one <br />appointment to the Human Services Advisory Board. No nominations were <br />received and this will be rescheduled. <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced for consideration approval of two <br />appointments to the Youth Commission. Mr. Mihalkanin moved to appoint <br />Joseph Castillo as the youth member, which passed unanimously. The <br />remaining adult position will be brought back to the next Regular meeting <br />on October 7, 2002. <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced for consideration five appointments to the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission. The Council agreed to consider the ETJ <br />voting member and ETJ alternate member at the next Regular Meeting to be <br />held on October 7, 2002. Mr. Mihalkanin moved to appoint Robert Thornton, <br />Ms. Narvaiz moved to appoint John Diaz, Fred Terry and George Forrester and <br />Mayor Habingreither moved to appoint Boyd Galinger, III. On roll call the <br />following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />Mihalkanin: Thornton and Galinger. <br />Montoya: Thornton and Galinger. <br />Narvaiz: Diaz and Terry. <br />Habingreither: Thornton and Galinger. <br /> <br />Taylor: <br /> <br />Thornton and Galinger. <br /> <br />Mayhew: <br /> <br />Thornton and Galinger. <br /> <br />Mr. Thornton and Mr. Galinger will serve as the City voting members. <br /> <br />The Council then voted for the City alternate member. Mr. Mayhew moved to <br />appoint Phil Hutchinson and Mr. Taylor moved to appoint Fred Terry. On <br />roll call the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />Hutchinson: <br /> <br />Mayhew. <br /> <br />Terry: <br /> <br />Mihalkanin, Montoya, Narvaiz, Habingreither and Taylor. <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced for consideration five appointments to the <br />Economic Development Council. Mr. Mihalkanin moved to appoint Don Garrett <br />for the Citizen at Large position, Fred Markham to the Industrial <br />Foundation position and Linda Porterfield to the other Citizen at Large <br />position and Ms. Narvaiz moved to appoint Rick Skiles to the San Marcos <br />Board of Realtors position, which passed unanimously. The remaining San <br />Marcos Neigborhood Association position will be considered at the next <br />Regular meeting on October 7, 2002. <br />
