<br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />September 9, 2002 <br /> <br />38. <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />DESIGNATING CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS AS VOTING DELEGATE AND ALTERNATE <br />VOTING DELEGATE FOR THE CITY AT THE ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING OF THE <br />NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES TO BE HELD IN DECEMBER, 2002; AUTHORIZING <br />THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE ANY DOCUMENTS INCIDENT TO THE DESIGNATIONS, AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Ms. Narvaiz moved for the adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Mayhew <br />seconded the motion. Mr. Mayhew moved to amend Part 1 to insert Bill <br />Taylor as the voting delegate, and Mr. Mihalkanin seconded the motion. <br />roll call the following vote was recorded. <br /> <br />On <br /> <br />AYE: <br /> <br />Mihalkanin, Montoya, Narvaiz, Habingreither and Mayhew. <br /> <br />NAY: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Taylor. <br /> <br />Mr. Mayhew moved to amend Part 2 to insert Susan Narvaiz as the alternate <br />voting delegate, and Mr. Mihalkanin seconded the motion. On roll call the <br />following vote was recorded. <br /> <br />AYE: <br /> <br />Mihalkanin, Montoya, Habingreither, Taylor and Mayhew. <br /> <br />NAY: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Narvaiz. <br /> <br />The Council then voted unanimously for adoption of the Resolution. <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting held August 26, 2002, approval of two Ordinances on second <br />reading, adoption of one Ordinance on third and final reading, adoption of <br />five Resolutions, approval of sale of City-owned property in Green Haven <br />Estates Subdivision (between the homes at 226 and 304 Booth Drive), and <br />approval of Change of Services #7 to the design of Clovis Barker Road <br />Reconstruction in the amount of $27,168.92, on consensus. The Council <br />removed Item 16 and Item 20, adoption of Resolutions, and Item 21, approval <br />of sale of City-owned property in Green Acres Estates Subdivision (between <br />the homes at 226 and 304 Booth Drive), to be considered separately. Mr. <br />Mayhew moved for approval of minutes of the Regular Meeting held August 26, <br />2002, approval of two Ordinances on second reading, adoption of one <br />Ordinance on third and final reading, adoption of the remaining three <br />Resolutions, and approval of Change of Services #7 to the design of Clovis <br />Barker Road Reconstruction in the amount of $27,168.92, and Mr. Mihalkanin <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />
