Mr. Mihalkanin stated he would like for Staff to contact Bill <br />Nance with Southwest Texas State University for the time frame of the <br />demolition of these structures and historical significance of these <br />structures. Mr. Mihalkanin also stated he would like the Convention and <br />Visitors Bureau to provide an opinion about this project in regard to <br />tourism. The Council then agreed by consensus for the Historical <br />Preservation Commission to look for grants for the relocation of both <br />structures and' for Staff to provide a list of all City-owned properties, <br />excluding dedicated parkland. <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced a discussion regarding the City of San <br />Marcos hosting the TML Region 10 Meeting in San Marcos in September. The <br />Council agreed by consensus for the City Clerk to move forward with the <br />planning of the TML Region 10 Meeting to be held in San Marcos on <br />Wednesday, September 25, 2002. <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced a discussion regarding receiving the FY2003 <br />proposed Budget and discussing the time for the Budget Workshop. The <br />Council agreed by consensus for the Budget Workshop to be held on July 15 <br />and 16, 2002 from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, <br />City Hall, 630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas. <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced a discussion regarding audit of Municipal <br />spending. Mr. Mihalkanin stated he asked this item to be placed on the <br />agenda so the Council could look at the City's past spending. The Council <br />agreed on consensus to discuss this item during the Budget Workshop. <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced the City Council's Report. <br />Members had no report at this meeting. <br /> <br />The Council <br /> <br />Mayor Habingreither introduced an Executive Session pursuant to the <br />Government Code, Section 551.071, to seek the City Attorney's advice <br />regarding pending litigation, contemplated litigation, a settlement offer, <br />or a matter involving attorney-client privilege (Weatherford v. City of San <br />Marcos; Gary v. City of San Marcos; Voting Rights Act). Mr. Mihalkanin <br />moved the Council adjourn into Executive Session at 11:30 p.m. and Mr. <br />Mayhew seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Mayhew moved the Council reconvene at 12:22 a.m. and Ms. Tatum seconded <br />the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 12:25 a.m. on motion made by Mr. Mihalkanin and <br />seconded by Ms. Tatum. <br /> <br />~\).~ <br /> <br />Robert B.
