Health Mark Brinkley <br /> Director of Parks and Recreation Rodney Cobb <br /> Director of Information Technology Ramona Brown <br />Also Present: Kelly Franks, Stephanie Garcia, John Boswell, Carol <br />Coughlin, John Thomaides, Jon James, Sherri Russell, Susan Narvaiz, <br />Melissa Millecam, Shaune Maycock, Bob Sappington, Joe Garza, Shelley <br />Goodwin, and others. <br />Mayor Chiu called the meeting to order at 7:00p.m. Mayor Chiu lead the <br />Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Mayor Chiu introduced the Citizen comment period. (1) Roxanne Wheelis <br />Smith, Executive Director of the Austin Film Commission, stated the Austin <br />Film Commission wants to develop a good working relationship with the City <br />of San Marcos. She stated her organization is committed to attracting <br />film projects, promoting economic benefits, minimizing disruptions to <br />local businesses during filming and advocating health and safety on film <br />sets. The Austin Film Commission hopes to provide a one-stop shopping to <br />filmmakers in the future. She requested the Austin Film Commission to be <br />on a future agenda to hold a discussion with the City Council regarding <br />building a working relationship. (2) Richard Gachot stated he was <br />concerned about the visual impact of Grande Communication boxes in the <br />Downtown Square area. He also stated he was disappointed in the <br />appearance of the new bus benches around town and feels they do not comply <br />with the American Disability Act. <br />
