Regular Meeting May 13, 2002 Page 4 Mayor Pro-Tern Hughson introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the Special Meeting held April 22, 2002, Regular Meeting held April 22, 2002, Special Meeting held May 7, 2002, approval of two Ordinances on second reading, adoption of two Ordinances on third and final reading, and adoption of thirteen Resolutions, and approval of Change Order No.8 in the amount of $92,595.00 regarding construction of Bishop, Belvin Street 12" Wastewater and Miscellaneous Water Transmission Improvements with Du- Mor Enterprises, San Antonio, Texas on consensus. The Council removed Item 15, adoption of an Ordinance on third and final reading, and Items 17, 18, 21, and 27 adoption of Resolutions, to be considered separately. Mr. Cox moved for the approval of minutes of the Special Meeting held April 22, 2002, Regular Meeting held April 22, 2002, Special Meeting held May 7, 2002, approval of two Ordinances on second reading, adoption of one Ordinance on third and final reading, and adoption of nine Resolutions, and approval of Change Order No.8 in the amount of $92,595.00 regarding construction of Bishop, Belvin Street 12" Wastewater and Miscellaneous Water Transmission Improvements with Du-Mor Enterprises, San Antonio, Texas on consensus, and Mr. Mayhew seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. (Mr. Mihalkanin and Ms. Hughson abstaining from Item 24, adoption of Resolution regarding an Agreement with Southwest Texas). The captions of the Ordinances and Resolutions read as follows: Approval of Ordinances on second reading: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, REVISING FEES FOR USE OF THE CITY ACTIVITY CENTER; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE CITY'S 2001-2002 BUDGET TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE DEFENSE OF THE WEATHERFORD V. CITY OF SAN MARCOS SUIT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Adoption of Ordinance on third and final reading: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 2.362 OF THE CITY CODE TO CHANGE THE COMPOSITION OF THE SAN MARCOS YOUTH COMMISSION; AND INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS. Adoption of Resolutions: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN APPLICATION FOR CITY PARTICIPATION IN THE TEXSTAR INVESTMENT POOL; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AWARDING A CONTRACT TO FMG CONTRACTING FOR THE GEORGIA STREET SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
