City Council Meeting Minutes June 25, 2020 <br />- 6,547 negative (74%) <br />- 2,275 confirmed cases (26%) about 60 tests are pending <br />• County free testing - Live Oak Clinic (County Health Department) on <br />Broadway by appointment <br />- CDBG-CV grant application in process to enhance these services <br />• Past TDEM testing sites - Ranged between 200-700 people at each <br />• Future TDEM sites - Plans in place for 5 consecutive days in Kyle and 5 more <br />in San Marcos <br />Mr. Stapp stated the upcoming testing site will be at the Performing Arts <br />Center, Kyle June 27th (Ilam-5pm) and June 28th through July 1st <br />(8am-5pm). There will be no testing on July 4th. <br />Mr. Stapp stated that the next testing site will be at the San Marcos High <br />School from July 12th through July 16th (10am-4pm). No appointment is <br />required but it is suggested. <br />Upcoming Considerations <br />• Parks closure effective Thursday, June 25th at Bpm, fencing has been <br />installed around all parks that are closed. <br />• Mandatory public mask order - Judge Becerra; effective as of Monday (June <br />22nd) <br />- County provided FAQ document <br />Required to wear a mask if 6 feet distancing can't be maintained in public or in <br />a business <br />• Utility billing regarding payment arrangements, will be discussed at the July <br />7th City Council Meeting. <br />Council Member Derrick stated she has received questions on how much it <br />would cost if a person doesn't qualify for a free test. Mr. Stapp stated that the <br />pricing is different depending on the clinic, if insured it will be free but those <br />that are uninsured, the max amount is about $100.00 per test. She is glad to see <br />that we are getting more testing. She made a comment regarding the river park <br />closures and she knows a lot of people are angry and she wants to enjoy the <br />river too, but we are in a pandemic and it's serious. The health, safety and <br />welfare of our citizens is the top priority for Council. She acknowledged all the <br />calls and emails received regarding these concerns. <br />Council Member Baker stated since we sent the letter to the Governor when <br />can we expect to hear back, if at all and how will we hear back about this? Mr. <br />Lumbreras stated the follow through is to send this directly to our delegation <br />and to the Governor's office.
