RECITALS: <br />1. The City has received notice from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban <br />Development (HUD), that funding in the amount of $25,080,000.00 has been approved under the <br />Community Development Block Grant — Disaster Recovery program for disaster recovery efforts <br />in response to the 2015 flood events. <br />1 The City Council has determined that the use of CDBG-DR funding in response <br />to the 2015 flood events in compliance with Federal Register Notice 59138-N-01 will assist the <br />City in completing disaster recovery and resiliency projects in the areas of infrastructure, <br />housing, economic development and hazard mitigation/preparedness. <br />3. The City Council has determined that a fair and equitable method is in place to <br />allow the City to adjust the 2.016 Action Plan project funding as may be necessary, <br />4. The City has conducted public outreach to solicit extensive citizen participation <br />and comments regarding the use of HUD CDBG-DR funding. As a result of this outreach effort, <br />the City Council has provided direction to staff regarding the distribution of the allocation. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART I. The following allocations are approved for inclusion in the 2016 CDBG-DR <br />Action Plan and will be awarded with funding amounts established based on the total funding <br />amount of $25,080,000,00. <br />CDBG-DR Allocation Description Amount <br />Housing $ 7,524 �000.00 <br />Infrastructure $ 12,540 �000.00 <br />
