AIRPORT MASTER PLAN <br /> <br /> Road Relocation, Power Line, and Utility Impacts Will any roadways, power <br />lines, or utilities be impacted by the development of the alternative? Ideally, <br />the preferred alternative should minimize the impact to existing roadways, <br />power lines, and utilities to the greatest extent practical while still meeting <br />the A <br /> Geographic Constraints Are there property or topographical challenges that <br />are constraints for this alternative? Property lines, topographical features, <br />and bodies of water are key considerations. <br /> Development Cost/Ease of Implementation What is the significance of the <br />development costs associated with the alternative and how challenging will it <br />be to implement? Anticipated cost, funding eligibility, and funding availability <br />are considerations. Ideally, the preferred alternative should limit <br />development costs to the extent practical. <br />These criteria were utilized to evaluate the alternatives as discussed in the section <br />below. <br />Utilizing the evaluation criteria defined above, each runway/approach alternative <br />was reviewed and assigned high (red), moderate (yellow), and low (green) ratings <br />for each criterion. In general, the alternative with the most low (green) ratings and <br />the least moderate (yellow) and high (red) ratings is the alternative that is deemed <br />to be the preferred alternative based on the evaluation criteria. <br />Table 5-1 contains a matrix depicting the results of the evaluation process.
