AIRPORT MASTER PLAN <br />This section discusses <br />policies and how they compare to other airports. <br />Current Rates and Charges <br />The establishment of uniform rates and charges are essential to promoting the <br />financial self-sufficiency of an airport and for ensuring an airport is competitive in <br />attracting tenants and new development. The City of San Marcos owns all the land <br />associated with the San Marcos Regional Airport and many of the hangars and <br />other facilities located on airport grounds. Below is a current list of the rates and <br />charges established by the airport: <br /> Ground Lease Rates <br />o $0.20 - $0.40 per square foot (SF) per year <br />o Max Term 40 years <br /> Hangar Rates <br />o T-Hangar - $200 per month and 1-year term <br />o T-Shelter - $85 per month and 1-year term <br />o Shared Hangar - $350 per month per aircraft and 1-year term <br />o Private Hangar - $1.80 per SF per year and 5-year term <br />o Commercial Hangar - $2.00 - $3.00 per SF per year <br /> Based on term and amenities <br /> Other Charges <br />o Storage Unit - $75 per month and 1-year term <br />o Reserved Tie-Down - $50 - $75 per month and 1-year term <br />o Agricultural Lease - $11.47 per acre per year <br />In addition to traditional facility and ground leases, the San Marcos Regional Airport <br />also has an agricultural lease with a local farmer to conduct farming operations on <br />975 acres of airport property not currently being used for development. <br />Inventory Chapter Page 46 of 52 <br />October 2020 <br /> <br />
