100 <br /> <br />Special Meeting <br /> <br />August 16, 1982 <br /> <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of allocation <br />of revenue sharing funds for Hays County Women's Center. Mr. Farr <br />moved $11,700.00 be allocated and Mrs. Norris seconded the motion. <br />Mayor Craddock asked if anyone wished to speak for or against the <br />allocation, and no one did. The Council voted unanimously in favor <br />of the $11,700.00 allocation. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of allocation <br />of revenue sharing funds for San Marcos Chamber of Commerce Economic <br />Development Program. Mrs. Norris moved no funds be allocated to <br />this program from revenue sharing and Mr. Farr seconded the motion. <br />Mayor Craddock asked if anyone wished to speak for or against the <br />allocation, and no one did. Mr. Farr stated the City did fund this <br />program in the amount of approximately $80,000.00 each year from the <br />hotel occupancy tax. The Council voted unanimously in favor not to <br />allocate revenue funds for this program. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of allocation <br />of revenue sharing funds for Combined Community Action, Inc. - Com- <br />bined Initiative of Mature Americans (CIMA) of Smithville. Mr. <br />Kreczmer moved $1,750.00 be. allocated and Mrs. Mendez seconded the <br />motion. Mayor Craddock asked if anyone wished to speak for or against <br />the allocation. Ella Hurst of CIMA stated their program served meals <br />to a six-county area, serving the San Marcos area at Georgia Street <br />and Allen Wood Center and homebound meals as well. The Council voted <br />unanimously in favor of the $1,750.00 allocation. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock returned to Item 3 on the Agenda to continue the public <br />hearing in consideration of the 1982-1983 General, Utility, Airport <br />and Revenue Sharing Entitlement No. 14 Fund Budgets. She asked if <br />anyone wished to speak for or against each of the budgets, and no <br />one did, so the public hearing was closed. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of an Ordinance <br />on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THAT ORDINANCE ADOPTED SEP- <br />TEMBER 8, 1981, WHICH SET FORTH AN ITEMIZED ESTIMATE <br />OF THE EXPENSE OF CONDUCTING EACH ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT <br />OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF SAID CITY FOR THE FIS- <br />CAL YEAR BEGINNING ON OCTOBER 1, 1981, AND ENDING ON <br />SEPTEMBER 30, 1982, AND APPROPRIATED MONEY FOR THE <br />VARIOUS FUNDS AND PURPOSES OF SUCH ESTIMATE TO REVISE <br />SAID ESTIMATES AND TO REAPPROPRIATE SAID FUNDS; ADOPT- <br />ING SAID REVISIONS AND ESTIMATES AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />Mrs. Norris moved for the adoption of the Ordinance and Mrs. Mendez <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Resolu- <br />tion, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BET~EN SAID <br />CITY AND THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR SERVICES <br />PURSUANT TO THE SPECIAL SUPPLEMENTAL FOOD PROGRAM FOR <br />WOMEN, INFANTS AND CHILDREN (WIC); AUTHORIZING THE <br />CITY MANAGER OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Brown moved for the adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Farr second- <br />ed the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br /> <br />
