Local partnerships: <br />• Participate in School District's established programs <br />• Partner with local providers for infrastructure expansion in targeted areas <br />• Assist local providers with qualifying for state and federal funds <br />2. Establish Funding Support Programs: <br />• Use American Rescue Funds to assist with payment of internet bills for <br />qualifying citizens <br />Staff is seeking direction from Council on whether to Maintain current service <br />delivery through private providers and/or continue exploring implementation <br />of alternative options. <br />Mayor Pro. Tem Derrick inquired about infrastructure cost. Mr. Stewart stated <br />there is no estimate at this time and a consultant would be required in order to <br />do a feasibility study, a recent study elsewhere cost approximately $90,000. <br />City of San Marcos Page 4 <br />
