City Council Meeting Minutes August 12, 2021 4. Stormwater Rate Increase: 8.5% - Council provided consensus to move forward with the increase 5. Resource Recover Rate Increase: 4% - Council provided consensus to move forward with the increase Council provided direction on the following items: 1. Continue the normal practice of posting a public hearing, if not raising the tax rate 2. Continue the normal practice of posting a public hearing for each reading of the Budget. 3. Decrease funding to Go Wheels Up to $47,500 4. Maintain funding to Sights and Sounds at $80,000 EXECUTIVE SESSION 2. Executive Session in accordance with Section §551.087 of the Texas Government Code: Economic Development to receive a briefing and deliberate regarding the Project Robot. A motion was made by Council Member Gleason, seconded by Mayor Pro Tem Derrick, to enter into Executive Session at 7:13 p.m. The motion carried by the following vote: For: 7 - Mayor Pro Tem Derrick, Mayor Hughson, Council Member Baker, Council Member Gonzales, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Scott, Council Member Garza and Council Member Gleason Against: 0 ACTION/DIRECTION FROM EXECUTIVE SESSION 3. Consider action, by motion, or provide direction to Staff regarding the following Executive Session held this evening: Section §551.087 of the Texas Government Code: Economic Development to receive a briefing and deliberate regarding the Project Robot. Mayor Hughson stated Executive Session concluded at 8:45 p.m. and direction was provided to staff during executive session. III. Adjournment. A motion was made by Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Scott, seconded by Council Member Garza, that this be adjourned.
