Call To Order <br />With a quorum present, the Regular Meeting of the San Marcos City Council <br />was called to order by Mayor Hughson at 6:04 p.m. Tuesday, August 17, 2021. <br />This was held in-person/virtual. <br />II. Roll Call <br />Present: 7- Mayor Pro Tem Melissa Derrick, Mayor Jane Hughson, Council Member Maxfield <br />Baker, Council Member Saul Gonzales, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Shane Scott, <br />Council Member Alyssa Garza and Council Member Mark Gleason <br />111. Invocation <br />Rev. Krista Weber Huang from San Marcos Unitarian Universalist Fellowship <br />provided this evening's invocation. <br />IV. Pledges of Allegiance - United States and Texas <br />Mayor Hughson led the assembly in the Pledges of Allegiance. <br />V. 30 Minute Citizen Comment Period <br />There were no speakers this evening. <br />PRESENTATIONS <br />1. Receive status reports and updates on response to COVID-19 pandemic; and provide direction <br />to Staff. <br />Chase Stapp, Director of Public Safety, introduced Rob Fitch as the new <br />Emergency Management Coordinator. Mr. Fitch provided the COVID-19 <br />update and presentation. <br />County Vaccination Update: <br />For week of August 9-13,2021 Hays County has had 1,069 total COVID-related <br />City of San Marcos Page 1 <br />
