• 14. Consider adoption of Resolution 2009-156R, approving an amendment of a letter <br />agreement between the City and Denton, Navarro, Rocha and Bernal for professional <br />services related to police and fire department meet and confer negotiations to increase the <br />budget for fees and expenses from $70,000 to $115,000.00 and declaring an effective date. <br />Items 9, 11, 12, and 14 were pulled from the Consent Agenda. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Bose and a second by Councilmember <br />Couch, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to approve the Consent <br />Agenda, less items 9, 11, 12, and 14. The motion carried unanimously. <br />(9)MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Jones and a second by Councilmember <br />Thomaides, the City Council voted five (5) for and two (2) opposed, with Councilmembers <br />Couch and Terry voting against, to table item 9. The motion carried. <br />(11)MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Porterfield and a second by <br />Councilmember Couch, the City Council voted six (6) for and none (0) opposed, with <br />Councilmember Jones absent from the dais, to adopt Resolution 2009-153R, as previously <br />captioned. The motion carried unanimously. <br />(12)MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Couch and a second by <br />Councilmember Porterfield, the City Council voted four (4) for and three (3) opposed, with <br />• Councilmembers Bose, Jones and Thomaides voting against, to adopt Resolution 2009-154R, as <br />previously captioned. The motion carried. <br />(14)MOTION: Upon a motion made by <br />Councilmember Porterfield, the City Council <br />Councilmember Thomaides voting against, to <br />captioned. The motion carried. <br />Councilmember Couch and a second by <br />voted six (6) for and one (1) opposed, with <br />adopt Resolution 2009-156R, as previously <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />15. Public Hearing to receive comments for and against an amendment to the standards for <br />the McCarty Commons Planned Development District consisting of 75.8 acres of land <br />situated in the Nathaniel Hubbard Survey, Abstract No. 230, located at I-35 and McCarty <br />Lane. to allow a call center as a permitted use; and including procedural provisions; and <br />consider adoption of Ordinance 2009-63. <br />Mayor Narvaiz opened the Public Hearing at 4:00 p.m. <br />Dave Dennison, representing the property owner, stated this was to add a use to the agreement <br />and is in favor of the change. <br />0 There being no further Public Comments, the Public Hearing was closed at 4:01 p.m. <br />RM110209 Minutes Page 3
