M. Veramendi League Nos. <br />1 and 2, which include the Cape's Camp area. City Planner Joe Garza <br />reviewed with Council the annexation service plan for the area, a <br />copy of which is attached to these minutes. After some discussion <br />Mr. Cavazos moved that Staff be instructed to schedule two public <br />hearings, one at the site of the annexation and one at City Hall <br />and Mrs. Norris seconded the motion. On roll call the following <br />vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br /> <br />Cavazos, James, Mendez and Norris. <br /> <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Brown, Craddock and Kreczmer. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of amendments <br />to Roger Jenkins' application for certificate for a taxicab service. <br />Mr. Jenkins advised the Council he purchased Ralph Gonzales' three <br />taxis last week and would like to operate under the name Ralph Gon- <br />zales was using in his taxi business, City Taxi. He also said he <br />would like to amend his fares as follows: <br /> <br />50 cents base (rather than 75 cents) + 10 cents per <br />additional l/lOth mile and a 10% discount to persons <br />over 60 years of age. <br /> <br />Mr. Cavazos moved that Roger Jenkins be allowed to operate a taxicab <br />service under the name of City Taxi and be allowed to amend his fare <br />to 50 cents base + 10 cents per l/lOth mile and a 10% discount to <br />persons over 60 years of age and Mr. Kreczmer seconded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. James moved the Council adjourn to Executive Session at 8:19 p.m. <br />pursuant to Article 6252-17, V.A.C.S., §2(e), to seek advice of the <br />City Attorney with respect to pending litigation, City of San Marcos <br />vs. Shawn Kelley and John H.
