73 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, JULY 26, 1982 PRESENT: Mayor Emmie Craddock Council Members Karl W. Brown Gerald G. Farr John A. D. Carroll, Mario Reyes, Jane Wilson, Wayne Moore, Bill Harrison, Jeff Watkins, Julie (KCNY), Jackie Matthys, Vince VandeWalle, Billy Moore, Frances Emery, David Young, Jack Lindstrom, Jerri Martin, Frances Stovall, Don New- comb, Stephanie Langenkamp, Joe Cox, Brenda Smith, Berry James, Melissa Millecam, Jack Stovall, Joyce Glore, Marcus Hernandez, Mary Salinas, Harvey Ginsburg and others. Mayor Craddock called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting held July 12, 1982. Mrs. Norris moved to approve the minutes and Mr. Kreczmer seconded the motion. On roll call the fol- lowing vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Fart, Kreczmer, Craddock, Mendez, Norris. NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Moore. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Special Meeting held July 19, 1982. Mr. Farr moved to approve the minutes and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mrs. Norris then moved that Item 12C on the Agenda, Consider discussion and approval of 1982-1983 Budget information relating to a determination on the Social Service requests be tabled until the next meeting (August 2) to give the Council more time to reach a decision and Mr. Brown se- conded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of an appointment to the Central Texas Higher Education Authority. Mr. Farr moved the names of Marion Johnson and Velia Cavazos, submitted to the City Secre- tary prior to the meeting, be placed in nomination and Mr. Kreczmer seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. On roll call the follow- ing vote was recorded: BRO%~: Johnson. FARR: Johnson. KRECZMER: Cavazos. CRADDOCK: Johnson. MENDEZ: Cavazos. MOORE: Johnson. NORRIS: Cavazos. Mr. Marion Johnson was appointed to be the new member on the Central Texas Higher Education Authority to complete an unexpired term.
