Wednesday, December 15, 2021 <br />I. Call To Order <br />City of San Marcos <br />Meeting Minutes <br />City Council <br />6:00 PM <br />630 E. Hopkins <br />630 East Hopkins <br />San Marcos, TX 78666 <br />City Council Chambers/Virtual <br />With a quorum present, the regular meeting of the San Marcos City Council <br />was called to order by Mayor Hughson at 6:03 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, <br />2021. This meeting was held in-person and online. <br />11. Roll Call <br />Present: 7- Mayor Jane Hughson, Council Member Maxfield Baker, Council Member Saul <br />Gonzales, Mayor Pro Tem Shane Scott, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Alyssa Garza, <br />Council Member Mark Gleason and Council Member Jude Prather <br />111. Invocation <br />A moment of silence was observed. <br />IV. Pledges of Allegiance - United States and Texas <br />Council Member Prather led the assembly in the Pledges of Allegiance. <br />V. 30 Minute Citizen Comment Period <br />Milan Indru Malkani, spoke regarding #25 (B) item in Executive Session <br />portion. He stated property is in good hands. He stated the alleyway goes <br />through the property and the other part that is left is 1300 sq ft. approximately <br />17 feet wide by 83 feet deep. He stated the area does not have stand alone <br />commercial value. He would like council to bring this to closure. <br />Peter Tschirhart, spoke some areas on agenda item #16 on expanding and <br />improving safe bicycle pedestrian infrastructure. He stated the general rule for <br />higher speed limit for cars the more physical separation is needed for bicyclists <br />and pedestrians to feel safe using the roads. He would like council to <br />implement all ages and abilities infrastructure like greenways and protected <br />bike lanes. He stated sharrows that are listed in the plan are unsafe and should <br />not be considered infrastructure in the transportation plan and should be <br />City of San Marcos Page 1 <br />
