EXHIBIT 1 <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br />Center Point Water Line Extension <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Project Understanding <br />The work to be performed by Walker Partners, LLC. Walker Partners under this contract will consist of <br />providing Design Phase (30%, 60%, 90%, 100% Documents), Bid Phase, Construction Phase, and <br />Record Drawing Phase Services for the Center Point Water Line Extension project. The project consists <br />of the following improvements: <br />• General Description — the installation of approximately 150 linear feet of 16" water main along Old <br />Bastrop Highway and 2,850 linear feet of 12" water main along Center Point Road, south of Old <br />Bastrop Highway. All existing water meters and fire hydrants will be reconnected to the new water <br />mains. The existing water main owned by Crystal Clear Special Utility District (S.U.D.) will remain <br />in service and will not be relocated. <br />Basic Scope of Services <br />Phase A — Design Phase (30/60/90/100%) <br />1. Project Management and QA/QC: This task consists of effort associated with project <br />administration, coordination with City staff, coordination and supervision of the project team, and <br />quality management so that project milestones and deliverables meet schedule and budget <br />constraints. <br />2. Meetings and Site Visits <br />a. Project Kick -Off Meeting: One (1) project kick-off meeting has been budgeted for the <br />Design Phase. It is assumed that the meeting will be held prior to beginning 30% design. <br />Walker Partners will attend the meeting (via web conference) with City of San Marcos <br />Staff to determine project constraints and needs as well as discuss design <br />considerations. <br />b. Utility Coordination Meetings: Up to three (3) utility coordination meetings have been <br />budgeted for the Design Phase. Is assumed that the meeting will be held after submittal <br />of the 30%, 60% and 90% design documents, and that the meeting will be organized by <br />the City. Walker Partners will attend the meeting (via web conference) with City of San <br />Marcos Staff to confirm that utility conflicts are not anticipated and/or to resolve all utility <br />conflicts identified. <br />c. Project Meetings: Up to three (3) project meetings have been budgeted for the Design <br />Phase, following each milestone submittal (30/60/90%). Walker Partners will attend the <br />meeting (via web conference) with City of San Marcos Staff. <br />d. Up to three (3) site visits have been budgeted for the design phase. <br />3. Deliverables: <br />a. Monthly Status Report: Walker Partners will provide a monthly status report, including a <br />brief summary of work completed. Eight (8) monthly status reports have been assumed <br />for budgeting purposes. <br />b. Complete 30% Design: Walker Partners will provide one (1) PDF electronic copy of the <br />following. <br />
