118 <br /> <br />Special Meeting <br /> <br />September 7, 1982 <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval to proceed with <br />the urban development action grant (UDAG) application. Mr. Farr moved <br />for approval to proceed with the application and Mrs. Mendez seconded <br />the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval to bid the agri- <br />cultural lease at the Airport. Mrs. Norris moved this item be removed <br />from the table and Mr. Farr seconded the motion, which passed unani- <br />mously. Mr. Chuck Willis, the city's airport consultant, advised the <br />Council he thought the area surrounding the airport should be culti- <br />vated and proposed the Council consider a use plan be made a part of <br />the lease agreement. Such information should be provided concerning <br />what would be planted, when it would be planted, when it would be <br />plowed and during the term of the lease agreement that the Lessee <br />resubmit annually his intentions for the coming year and specify what <br />term. Mrs. Norris moved Staff go to bid with a land use plan being <br />made a part of the lease agreement, to be resubmitted annually, and <br />Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mrs. Norris <br />then moved the 5-year option be contingent upon what the City's con- <br />cerns would be at that time, and the City would have the option to <br />review at the end of the 5-year term, and for this provision to be <br />added to the lease agreeme5% on Page 4 in Section 6, and Mrs. Mendez <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval to accept propos- <br />als on softball fields. Mr. Moore moved we accept softball field pro- <br />posals and Mrs. Norris seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock announced she would entertain a motion to adjourn to <br />Executive Session pursuant to Article 6252-17, S2(f), V.A.C.S., to <br />discuss landfill acquistion. City Manager Gonzalez advised the <br />Council the Executive Session would not be needed at this time. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 9:00 p.m. on motion of Mrs. Norris and se- <br />conded by Mrs. Mendez. <br /> <br /> Karl W.
