TO BE PUBLISHED ON: July 3,July 10,AND July 21,2022. <br /> NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br /> Pursuant to Section 26.002 of the Texas Parks & Wildlife Code, on August 2,2022 at its regular <br /> meeting beginning at 6:00 p.m., the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, will hold a <br /> public hearing to receive public comments on and consider the following: <br /> A proposal by LCRA Transmission Services Corporation ("LCRA TSC") to amend its existing <br /> easement filed of record in Volume 390, Page 249, in the Real Property Records of Hays County, <br /> Texas, to increase its existing easement area across city property generally located in the cul-de- <br /> sac at the intersection of Quail Creek Drive and Hummingbird Lane, San Marcos, Texas. The <br /> proposed amendment increases LCRA TSC's existing easement by 0.012 acres (522 square feet), <br /> with the additional 0.012 acres to be used for overhead lines only. The purpose of LCRA TSC's <br /> project is to upgrade an existing electric transmission line to serve the growing areas of Hays <br /> County. <br /> The meeting at which the public hearing will be conducted will be a hybrid (in-person/virtual) <br /> meeting. The hearing will be conducted in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 630 East <br /> Hopkins Street, San Marcos Texas 78666. Persons may attend the public hearing in person, <br /> view the public hearing online by going to http://sanmarcostx.gov/421/City-Council-Videos- <br /> Archives, or watch the public hearing on Grande channel 16 or Spectrum channel 10. The <br /> purpose of the hearing will be to make any and all determinations required under Chapter 26 of <br /> the Texas Parks & Wildlife Code. <br /> Persons wishing to participate (speak) during the public hearing may participate in person or <br /> virtually. Persons wishing to participate virtually must email citizencomment@sanmarcostx.gov <br /> the day prior to the meeting and before 12:00 p.m. the day of the hearing. For those persons <br /> participating virtually, a call-in number to join by phone or link will be provided for participation <br /> on a mobile device, laptop or desktop computer. If attending in person, no advance sign-up is <br /> required. <br /> At the conclusion of the hearing, the San Marcos City Council will consider making any and all <br /> determinations required under Chapter 26 of the Texas Parks & Wildlife Code and consider <br /> adoption of a resolution approving LCRA TSC's proposal to amend its existing easement. <br /> The City of San Marcos does not discriminate on the basis of disability in the admission or access <br /> to its services,programs, or activities.
