ATTACHMENT A <br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> SESSOM DRIVE WASTEWATER REPLACEMENT PHASE 2 <br /> (CANYON ROAD EXTENSION) <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> Project Understanding—CIS-05 <br /> The work to be performed by Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. (KIMLEY-HORN or the Consultant) under <br /> this contract will consist of providing Design Phase (95%,99%, and 100% Documents)for the Sessom <br /> Drive Wastewater Replacement Phase 2. The project consists of the following improvements: <br /> • Remove Loquat Street from the project and the culvert adjacent to the roadway. Redesign the <br /> roadway, grading, and guardrail requirements. <br /> • Design a turnaround for the end of Loquat Street. This includes additional survey in which the <br /> location is shown at the end of this document. <br /> • Sessom Creek Restoration Project Phase 2 &3 Supplement—the restoration of Sessom Creek <br /> will have an addition of approximately 275' of channel restoration where the culvert is to be <br /> removed. This study and design will help to reduce sediment load by addressing erosion <br /> occurring within Sessom Creek mainstem and Windmill Tributary through natural channel design. <br /> Sessom Creek Restoration Project Phase 2 &3 will be designed by Ecosystem Planning & <br /> Restoration (EPR) as a subconsultant to KIMLEY-HORN. Reference Attachment A-1 for the <br /> Sessom Creek Restoration Project Phase 2 &3 supplemental scope of services and the <br /> corresponding schedule for the EPR design phase services. <br /> • KIMLEY-HORN will coordinate with EPR during design to evaluate potential impacts of the <br /> concurrent creek restoration and sanitary sewer replacement along Sessom Creek and Canyon <br /> Road. <br /> • KIMLEY-HORN will coordinate with Byrn Surveying in their scope to for a replat of land swap <br /> between Texas State University and City of San Marcos. <br /> Basic Scope of Services <br /> Design Phase (95%,99%. & 100%) <br /> 1. Project Management and QA/QC: This task consists of effort associated with project administration, <br /> coordination with City staff, coordination and supervision of the project team, including coordination <br /> with EPR, and quality management so that project milestones and deliverables meet schedule and <br /> budget constraints. <br /> 2. Meetings <br /> a. Project Meetings: One (1)additional project meeting has been budgeted for this change <br /> of scope. <br /> 3. Deliverables: <br /> a. Deliverables for Sessom Creek Restoration Project Phase 2 &3 will be provided by EPR. <br /> Refer to attached scope provided by EPR. The EPR deliverables will be incorporated into <br /> the Kimley-Horn deliverable. <br /> b. Additional survey at Loquat Street performed by Kimley-Horn. <br /> c. Turnaround Exhibit at Loquat Street for coordination with the City of San Marcos. <br /> 1 <br />
