Attachment A-1 - CIS 05 Ecosystem Planning & Restoratio=Services <br /> ECOSYSTEM <br /> PLANNING & <br /> RESTORATION <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Project Site Development— Sessom Creek Restoration Project—Phases 2 &3 Supplement <br /> Ecosystem Planning and Restoration (EPR) is pleased to present this scope of work to Kimley-Horn and <br /> Associates Inc. (CLIENT) to prepare a stream restoration design and construction <br /> drawings for the proposed site: <br /> Site Name: Sessom Creek <br /> County: Hays County <br /> Project Components: Detailed design plans revision and extension <br /> Project Overview: The Citv of San Marcos has requested a revision and extension of the Sessom <br /> Creek Restoration design. Specifically, Loguat Road will be closed, and series of existing culvert will be <br /> removed,daylighting approximately 100-LF Sessom Creek through the currently culverted section.EPR will <br /> revise the current stream design for Sessom Creek to extend the natural channel design section though the <br /> daylighted section. The proposed revision will tie-in to, or modify, the current design downstream of the <br /> culverts, and extend approximately 275-ft to tie-in to the existing stream upstream. To date, EPR has <br /> prepared what is labeled the 99%design plan.Due to the large change to the plans,this scope and fee includes <br /> revisions the plans and re-submit as 95% plans, followed by 99%. The 100% design plan submittal is <br /> included in the existing contract scope and fee.Additional budget will be added to Task 4. 100%Final Design <br /> Plans and Task 6. Proiect Administration& Meetings to cover revised 95% and 99% additional submittals. <br /> The following sections list the tasks to be completed to revise the design plans. <br /> 4. ONE HUNDRED PERCENT(100%)FINAL DESIGN PLANS <br /> The first submittal labeled 95% Design Plans will not be sealed and marked for review purposed only, and will <br /> include the following: <br /> -Revised Drawings and Figures for Plan—The existing drawings will be revised to include plan views of the site <br /> that show the proposed features of the restored system including the daylighted section.The plan view drawing will <br /> show the existing stream locations, design stream features, structure locations, extent of riparian buffer, stream <br /> crossings if required, and other important features. <br /> -Revised Channel Modification Plans—The plan set will be revised to included additions sheets as required to <br /> accommodate the revisions to the design,including plan and profile,details, and cross-sections. <br /> -Additional Structure Locations—Additional in-stream structures,such as log vanes,cross vanes,root wads,etc. <br /> will be incorporated into the plan view drawing. <br /> -Revised Structure Detail Drawings-Details and specifications will be provided for each structure as needed. <br /> -Revised Vegetation Plans—Vegetation plans will be revised as needed to reflect the design changes. <br /> -Revised Hydraulic Analyses—Revision to the hydraulic analyses and floodplain report will be revised to include <br /> the daylighted section of the channel and document impacts to flooding. <br /> Sessom Creek Restoration Project-Phases 2&3 Extension <br /> KHA <br /> 1/20/2022 Pagel of 3 <br />
