She attended the Pride graduation and celebrated 1,000 graduates from the <br />Pride program. She stated that these are young people who just need a different format to <br />succeed. Some have earned scholarships of $2,000 each and are going on to college. Consider adoption of Ordinance 2008 -4, on third and final reading, amending <br />Section 4.2.5.1 of the City Land Development Code to desisnate an area within the <br />City as the Hopkins Street Historic District, along the 500 through 1200 Blocks of <br />Hopkins Street. <br />13. Consider approval of Ordinance 2008 -5, on third and final reading, amending <br />Chapter 86, Article 3, Division 2, Industrial Waste Discharge Regulations, of the <br />San Marcos City Code. <br />14. Consider adoption of Resolution 2008 -30R, a resolution supporting Texas State <br />University -San Marcos in its project to restore the habitat of Springy Lake; <br />supporting the university's application for Phase Three funding of its project from <br />the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers through a Section 206 irant; supporting the <br />combining of both the university project and the San Marcos River Aquatic <br />Ecosystem Restoration Project as two components of a sinile restoration project for <br />the San Marcos River and its headwaters by adding $439,000.00 to fund the detailed <br />restoration plan of the city project. <br />15.
