PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT SERVICES <br /> THE-TV OF <br /> SAN 1liAKCOS <br /> October 6, 2023 <br /> Notification of Proposed Annexation by the City of San Marcos <br /> Dear Public Entity Representative: <br /> Under Local Government Code Chapter 43, cities are required to notify certain public entities of all proposed annexations.The <br /> San Marcos City Council is considering the following annexations that may affect your jurisdiction: <br /> Annexation of approximately 17.937 acres of land out of the Barnett K. Kane Survey,Abstract No. 281 (including <br /> adjacent right-of-way), in Hays County,Texas, generally located at the northeast corner of the Hwy 123 and Redwood <br /> Rd intersection. <br /> All annexations are subject to notification, public hearings, and vote by City Council. The annexation schedule is as follows: <br /> Ordinance 1St Reading(Public Hearing): November 6, 2023, at 6pm <br /> Ordinance 2nd Reading: December 5, 2023, at 6pm <br /> The City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas will conduct a public hearing via hybrid, in-person /virtual meeting at 6:00 <br /> p.m.on Monday, November 6, 2023, to consider the above request. You may watch the public hearing on Grande channel <br /> 16 or Spectrum channel 10 or by using the following link: https:Hsanmarcostx.govNideos. Or email <br /> citizencomment(a)-sanmarcostx.gov or call 512-393-8090 to request a link to participate in the public hearing by computer, <br /> mobile device, or phone. <br /> All interested citizens are invited to watch or participate in the public hearing by the means described above. If you cannot <br /> attend the meeting or participate in the virtual public hearing of the City Council, but wish to comment, you may write to the <br /> below address.
