<br /> 77 <br />Regular Meeting February 11, 1991 Page 5 <br />introduced Attorney General Dan Morales, and the conference <br />attracted seven states and Texas. There were approximately 1,000 <br />public school teachers and administrators in attendance. (3) Ms. <br />Kissler stated Mr. Guerra has been appointed to serve as the <br />Chairman of the Equal Opportunity Section of the Human Development <br />Committee of NLC. (4) Mayor Morris stated she attended the SWT <br />Liaison Meeting, and it was very productive. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration an Executive Session <br />pursuant to Article 6252-17, Sections 2(e), (f) and (g), V.A.C.S., <br />to discuss pending litigation (GBRA vs. City of Lytle, Et AI; <br />Southern Climate Co. vs. J. K. Richardson Co., Et AI; Helen <br />Rodriguez vs. City of San Marcos), contemplated litigation and <br />matters where the duty of the City Attorney to the City pursuant to <br />the Code of Professional Responsibility of the State Bar of Texas <br />clearly conflicts with Article 6252-17; purchase of real property, <br />lease of real property, duties of a public officer, respectively. <br />Mr. Moore moved the Council adjourn into Executive Session at 8:44 <br />p.m. and Mr. Plummer seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mr. Hernandez moved to reconvene at 10:21 p.m. and Mr. Moore <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for discussion Item 10.B. which had been <br />delayed to follow Executive Session, a discussion regarding a <br />proposed policy for direct expenditures from the Council Tourist <br />Account and direction to Staff. Mayor Morris stated Mr. Guerra and <br />Ms. Kissler, in cooperation with Messrs. Gilley and Taylor, will <br />bring a policy to the Council for consideration in the near future. <br />The meeting adjourned at 10:22 p.m. on motion made by Ms. Kissler <br />and seconded by Mr. Guerra. <br /> a art <br />counC~l/!1,-ber '".~.
