DocuSign Envelope ID:CE5FC79A-2819-445F-B9EC-5BF4EOA07FD6 EXHIBIT 1 CITY OF SAN MARCOS Shady, Valley, Gravel Utility Improvements Project SCOPE OF SERVICES Project Understanding The work to be performed by Pape-Dawson Engineers under this contract will consist of providing a Preliminary Engineering Design Report. The project consists of the following improvements: • General Description—the replacement and upsizing from 12-inch to 18-inch of up to approximately 3,200 linear feet of sanitary sewer line along the following roadways: o Martin Luther King Drive from Nance Street to Shady Lane(connection point at Nance and MLK) o Shady Lane from Martin Luther King Drive to Valley Street o Valley Street from Shady Lane to Jackman Street o Jackman Street from Valley Street to Gravel Street o Gravel Street from Jackman Street to Patton o Patton Street from Gravel Street to Eisenhower Street ■ Controlling elevation located at Eisenhower and Patton Street ■ Railroad Crossing at Patton Street and Storm Sewer Crossing at Jackman Street considered • Drainage Outfall that starts at MLK and Shady to be upsized. The storm sewer ultimately outfalls south of the Shady Lane and Valley Street Intersection. Full Phases of storm sewer to be analyzed to size the outfall line. • Stormwater Analysis that begins at the upstream end of the Moore Street drainage and Blanco Street Drainage and continues to the outfall at Purgatory Creek. The purpose of the study is to explore options to contain the 25-yr rainfall event in the proposed storm sewer network and contain the 100-yr rainfall in the right of way. The stormwater hydrology analysis will include the entire watershed for the following project phases: o Shady,Valley, Gravel Utility Improvements o Nance North Drainage Improvements o Old Ranch Road 12/Moore Street Reconstruction Basic Scope of Services Preliminary Engineering Report(PER) 1. Project Management and QA/QC: This task consists of effort associated with project administration, coordination with City staff, coordination and supervision of the project team, and quality management so that project milestones and deliverables meet schedule and budget constraints. 2. Meetings a. Project Coordination Meetings: Two (2) coordination meetings have been budgeted for the PER Phase. Pape-Dawson will attend meetings with City of San Marcos Staff to review conceptual and preliminary design schematics and to determine project constraints and needs as well as discuss design considerations. b. City Council Meetings: Up to three (3) City Council meeting has been budgeted which consists of preparing exhibits and attending the meeting. 3. Tasks: a. Develop a monthly status report, including a brief summary of work completed. 1
