Develop Preliminary Engineering Report to describe the design parameters of the project.
During this phase of the project, Pape-Dawson to make one (1)site visit to review
existing conditions, site characteristics, and potential impacts on site planning.
c. Develop PER Comment Response Letter.
d. Pape-Dawson will provide two(2) hard copies of 8.5"x 11" Final PER sets and one(1)
pdf electronic copy. Upon approval by the City, two(2)sealed hard copies of 8.5"x 11"
Final PER sets, and one(1) pdf copy, will be provided.
Task A—Sanitary Sewer, Pavement, Outfall
e. Develop a preliminary schematic to contain the following:
1. Limits of pavement repair, overlay, and full depth reconstruction
2. Proposed sanitary sewer alignment alternatives (a maximum of two alignment
alternatives to be considered). Topographic survey to be based on online data
and city provided data and will not include an onsite survey.
f. Develop the PER to contain the following:
1. Sanitary Sewer connection points and elevation constraints.
2. Preliminary Opinion of Probable Construction Costs(AACE Level 4).
3. Permitting requirements with schedule for design and construction
Task B—Stormwater
g. Develop the PER to contain the following:
1. Existing Conditions Analysis-Pape-Dawson will review the existing Infoworks
ICM 2D model prepared for an adjacent project for the 25-and 100-year storm
events and determine feasibility of using the analysis for this project. If practical,
Pape-Dawson will convert the existing model to HEC-RAS for use on this project.
2. The contributing drainage area for the proposed project will be analyzed for the
25-, and 100-year storm events from Purgatory Creek to the upstream limits of
the drainage system.
3. Sizing of storm sewer based on full storm sewer drainage basin analysis. The
consultant will present up to three options for storm sewer sizing and determine
the impacts downstream (on Purgatory Creek).
4. Quantify storage requirements to mitigate downstream impacts and identify
potential areas within the drainage area for storage.
5. Preliminary Opinion of Probable Construction Costs (AACE Level 4).
6. Permitting requirements with schedule for design and construction.
2
