A <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2023-86 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ADMINISTRATION, <br /> ARTICLE 2, CITY COUNCIL, DIVISION 2, MEETINGS AND SECTION <br /> 2.066 OF THE SAN MARCOS CITY CODE TO CHANGE CERTAIN <br /> RULES APPLICABLE TO MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL AND <br /> BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL <br /> PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. Sections 2.041-2.045 of the San Marcos City Code are hereby amended as <br /> set forth below. Added provisions are indicated by underlining. Deleted provisions are indicated <br /> by strikethroughs. Moved provisions are also indicated in green. <br /> Sec.2.041. Time of mmeetings. <br /> In accordance with Section 3.09 of the City Charter,the city council shall hold <br /> twenty-two regular meetings, at a minimum, each year. Regular meetings of city <br /> council shall be held at 6:00 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of the month <br /> with the exception of the following: when the first Tuesday in November is also a <br /> uniform election date the meeting will be held on the first Wednesday of that <br /> month, and with the exception of the first regular meeting in October which is <br /> held on the first Monday of that month, or any date approved as a regular meeting <br /> date by city council at a posted meeting. <br /> Sec.2.042. Order of business. <br /> (ab) All city council work session and workshop agendas shall include Citizen <br /> Comments and Question and Answer Session with the Press and Public as agenda <br /> items. <br /> The order of business for regular city council meetings is as follows: <br /> (1) Call to order. <br /> (2)Roll call. <br /> (3) ; <br /> (43) Invocation. <br /> (�4) Pledge of Allegiance to the United States and Texas. <br /> Page 1 of 8 <br />
