SECTION 4: RISK OVERVIEW <br />by 50 percent between 2010 and 2020 according to the U.S. Census Bureau, therefore the <br />vulnerability to the population, infrastructure, and buildings has increased for hazards that do not <br />have a geographical boundary. <br />Once loss estimates and vulnerability were identified, an impact statement was applied to relate <br />the potential impact of the hazard on the assets within the area of impact. <br />HAZARD RANKING <br />During the 2023 planning process, the Planning Team conducted a risk rating exercise to get <br />input from the Planning Team and stakeholders. Table 4-7 portrays the results of the risk <br />assessment analysis including the frequency of occurrence and potential severity.
