END OF CONSENT AGENDA <br />17. Consideration on appointments to fill the vacancies on: <br />Kelli McNair was appointed to the Main Street Advisory Board, and Noemi Govea was <br />appointed to the Minority Tourism Development Board. <br />18. Public Hearing to receive comments for and asainst amending the San Marcos <br />City Code by amending Chapter 14, Article 1, Section 14.006 and Chapter 74, <br />Article 2, Division 3, Section 74.088 (c) (1) of the San Marcos City Code and <br />Chapter 1, Article 3, Division 1, Section 1.3.1.1 of Subchapter B — City Land <br />Development Code; providing for the waiver of certain fees for non - profit and <br />governmental entities; and consider an ordinance on the first of three readings. <br />Mayor Narvaiz opened the Public Hearing at 8:04 p.m. There were no public comments, <br />and the Public Hearing was closed at 8:04 p.m. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Jones and a second by <br />Councilmember Thomaides, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, <br />to approve the ordinance on the first of three readings. The motion carried unanimously. <br />19. Public Hearing to receive comment for and asainst an amendment to the future <br />land use map from "LDR" Low Density Residential to "MDR" Medium Density <br />Residential for Lot 15, Block 3, Victory Gardens, located at 606 and 608 McArthur, <br />and to amend the official zoning map of the city by rezoning this tract from "SF- <br />4.5" Sinile Family to "DR" Duplex Restricted Residential, and consider adoption of <br />Zoning Ordinance 2008 -12. <br />Mayor Narvaiz opened the Public Hearing at 8:18 p.m. There were no public comments, <br />and the Public Hearing was closed at 8:18 p.m. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Bose and a second by <br />Councilmember Guerrero, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to <br />approve Ordinance 2008 -12, as previously captioned. The motion carried unanimously. <br />20. Public Hearing to receive comments for and asainst the rezoning of a 5.4 -acre <br />tract, also known as Lot 2 -A of the replat of Stage Coach Professional Center, <br />Section 2, located at the corner of Hunter Road and Stagecoach Trail from "CC" <br />Community Commercial and "GC" General Commercial <br />Mayor Narvaiz opened the Public Hearing at 8:23 p.m. There were no public comments, <br />and the Public Hearing was closed at 8:23 p.m. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Jones and a second by <br />Councilmember Couch, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to <br />approve Ordinance 2008 -13, as previously captioned.
