RESOLUTION NO. 2024-87R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING A FUNDING AGREEMENT WITH <br /> TEXAS RIOGRANDE LEGAL AID ALLOWING FOR AMERICAN <br /> RESCUE PLAN ACT(ARPA)FUNDS TO PROVIDE EFFECTIVE ADVICE <br /> AND COUNSEL TO RESIDENTS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> NEGATIVELY AFFECTED BY COVID-19 IN THE AMOUNT OF <br /> $160,000.00 OVER A TWO-YEAR TERM WITH AN OPTION TO <br /> EXTEND; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HER DESIGNEE, <br /> TO EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE DOCUMENTS TO IMPLEMENT <br /> THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. A funding agreement with Texas RioGrande Legal Aid allowing for American <br /> Rescue Plan Act(ARPA) funds to provide effective advice and counsel to residents of the City of <br /> San Marcos who were negatively affected by COVID-19 for a two-year term effective June 1, <br /> 2024 through May 31, 2026 with an option to extend is approved. <br /> PART 2. The City Manager or her designee is authorized to execute the funding <br /> agreement. <br /> PART 3.
