30 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, JUNE 24, 1991 PRESENT: Mayor Kathy M. Morris Mayor Pro-Tem Ronald K. Hart Council Members Billy G. Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of confirmation of the City Manager's appointment to the Personnel Appeals Board. Mr. Guerra moved to table consideration of this confirmation to the July 8 Meeting and Mr. Moore, seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an appointment to the Commission for Women. Mr. Plummer moved to appoint Susan Braden, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of two appointments to complete vacancies on the Commission for Minorities. Mr. Hart moved to appoint Roland Saucedo to complete a vacancy and Mayor Morris moved to appoint Linda Kindred to complete a vacancy, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an appointment to the Charter Review Commission. No nominations were received, and this will be rescheduled for July 8. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of six appointments to the Sunset Advisory Commission. Mr. Moore moved to appoint James E. Scott and Mr. Plummer moved to appoint Beth Morrisset, which passed unanimously. The remaining four appointments will be rescheduled for July 8. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING APPENDIX A, GENERAL ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY BY AMENDING THE DEFINITIONS OF BUILDING SETBACK LINE AND FRONT YARD IN SECTION 4; AMENDING SECTION 26(A) (1) TO INCLUDE CHURCHES AS A PERMITTED USE IN THE "PH (PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT); AMENDING SECTION 29 TO * Ms. Kissler was not present at this meeting.
