<br />50 <br />Regular Meeting July 8, 1991 Page 2 <br />BINDING THE INHABITANTS BY ALL OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES, <br />RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak for or against the annexation. No one did, so Mayor Morris <br />closed the public hearing. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF <br />THE CITY FROM MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO OFFICE AND <br />PROFESSIONAL FOR PART OF LOT 1, BLOCK 3 OF THE D. S. COMBS <br />ADDITION, BEING A PART OF FARM LOT NO. THIRTEEN (13) OF THE <br />ORIGINAL TOWN OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, LOCATED AT 505 THROUGH 507 <br />WEST SAN ANTONIO STREET, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak for or against the land use amendment. No one did, so Mayor <br />Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Hernandez moved for adoption <br />of the Resolution and Mr. Plummer seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Zoning ordinance, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING A <br />PART OF LOT 1, BLOCK 3, D. S. COMBS ADDITION, BEING A PART OF <br />FARM LOT NO. THIRTEEN (13) OF THE ORIGINAL TOWN OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, LOCATED AT 505 THROUGH 507 WEST SAN ANTONIO STREET, FROM <br />"M" (SINGLE-FAMILY, DUPLEX AND NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT) <br />TO "OP" (OFFICE AND PROFESSIONAL DISTRICT); AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak for or against the zoning amendment. No one did, so Mayor <br />Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Moore moved for adoption of <br />the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Plummer seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Zoning ordinance, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING <br />LOTS 1-3, BLOCK 7, OF THE LINDSEY AND HARVEY ADDITION TO THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME E, PAGE 416 OF <br />THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, LOCATED AT 502 MOORE STREET AND <br />456 LINDSEY STREET, FROM "R-1" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT <br />[LOW DENSITY]) TO "MF-3" (MULTI-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT [HIGH <br />DENSITY]); AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak for or against the zoning amendment.
