<br /> 51 <br />Regular Meeting July 8, 1991 Page 3 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING <br />LOT 32, MILLVIEW ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AS <br />RECORDED IN VOLUME 112, PAGE 59 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED <br />RECORDS, LOCATED AT 107 EASTWOOD STREET, FROM "M" <br />(SINGLE-FAMILY, DUPLEX AND NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT) TO <br />"MR" (MOBILE HOME AND RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT); AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak for or against the zoning amendment. No one did, so Mayor <br />Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Hart moved for adoption of <br />the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Plummer seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING <br />LOTS 69,70, 84, 85, 86 AND 87 OF THE SOUTH END ADDITION TO THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, RECORDED IN VOLUME 55, PAGE 601 OF <br />THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, LOCATED AT 717 GEORGIA STREET, <br />FROM "R-1" (SINGLE-FAMILY, DUPLEX AND NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS <br />DISTRICT) TO "DP-1" (TWO-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT [LOW <br />DENSITY]); AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak for or against the zoning amendment. Mr. Hernandez moved for adoption <br />of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Hart seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br />on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING SECTIONS 29-111 AND 29-150 OF THE SAN MARCOS <br />CODE OF ORDINANCES BY ADDING A NO PARKING TOW-AWAY ZONE ON PAT <br />GARRISON STREET; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; REPEALING ALL <br />CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A PENALTY; PROVIDING FOR <br />PUBLICATION AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mr. Moore moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and <br />Mr. Plummer seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br />on second reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING APPENDIX A - GENERAL ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE <br />CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY BY AMENDING THE DEFINITIONS OF <br />BUILDING SETBACK LINE AND FRONT YARD IN SECTION 4; AMENDING <br />SECTION 26(A) (1) TO INCLUDE CHURCHES AS A PERMITTED USE IN THE <br />"P" PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT; AMENDING SECTION 29 TO <br />CHANGE THE NAME OF THE "OP" OFFICE PROFESSIONAL DISTRICT TO <br />"LB" LIMITED BUSINESS DISTRICT; ADDING MAXIMUM HEIGHT <br />REQUIREMENTS AND ADDING SMALL RETAIL OR NEIGHBORHOOD ORIENTED <br />BUSINESSES AS PERMITTED AND SPECIFIC USES IN THE "LB" LIMITED <br />BUSINESS DISTRICT; AMENDING SECTION 30 TO REVISE THE LIST OF <br />PERMITTED USES IN THE "c" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT; DELETING THE <br />STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND AMENDING THE LISTS OF PERMITTED AND <br />SPECIFIC USES IN SECTION 32, "LI" LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT; <br />AMENDING THE LISTS OF PERMITTED AND SPECIFIC USES IN SECTION <br />33, "I" INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT; AMENDING SECTION 35 TO CHANGE THE <br />REQUIRED PERIOD FOR WRITTEN NOTIFICATION TO PROPERTY OWNERS FOR <br />SPECIFIC USE PERMIT APPLICATIONS; AMENDING THE REQUIREMENTS IN <br />SECTION 35 REGARDING ESTABLISHMENTS DISPENSING LIQUOR FOR <br />ON-PREMISE CONSUMPTION; AMENDING SECTION 36 BY CHANGING THE <br />TITLE TO "SUPPLEMENTAL REQUIREMENTS," CLARIFYING THE EXISTING <br />
