OTHER IMPROVEMENT STANDARDS
The following sections of the SMLDC are modified to provide an appropriate degree of
flexibility to anticipate future needs and afford compatibility among land uses within the
Paso Robles PDD. These modifications are specific to the terrain and design objectives
to create a master planned community versus a series of subdivisions.
Section 4.4.1.2 Special Height Regulations
(a) Calculation of Height.
(1) For the purposes of calculating the overall height of a structure, height shall
be calculated from the highest point of the building to the highest point of
finished grade at the building, or the elevation of an adjoining road, along a
line that is, as close as possible, perpendicular to existing contours,
whichever is higher.
(2) The height shall be measured from the highest parapet or roof ridge to natural
grade or finish grade at the highest point adjacent to the building exterior,
whichever yields the greatest height.
-52-
