City of San Marcos,Texas—2024-2025 Action Plan <br /> Agency/Group/Organization Section Addressed Survey or Interview <br /> Interviewed the Project AIM Program Manager to gain information about <br /> Cenikor Foundation Other—Community Services coordination and contributions of the Hays Interagency Group,which she <br /> facilitates. <br /> City of San Marcos Interviewed the Director about the City's broadband expansions in parks and <br /> Information Technology Broadband the library <br /> Department <br /> City of San Marcos Homeless Needs-Chronically Interviewed Community Vitality Coordinator and Environmental Health and <br /> Neighborhood Enhancement Homeless;Non-Homeless Safety Manager about resources,coordination,and planning for response to <br /> Department Special Needs homelessness and other social service needs <br /> City of San Marcos Planning Interviewed the Director about the status of the 2019 Strategic Housing <br /> and Development Services Affordable Housing Action Plan <br /> The Senior Citizen programs for the city are attempting to partner with more <br /> City Senior Citizens Programs Non-Homeless Special Needs agencies to increase the housing and food services. Unfortunately,there <br /> aren't enough resources to reduce the waitlists <br /> Interviewed the Executive Director about social services provided for people <br /> Community Action Inc.of who are exiting institutions,and about coordination among local social <br /> Central Texas Other-Community Services service providers.Community Action Inc works with families in need of <br /> various services:most importantly,rent,and mental health. <br /> Community Organizations Resilience Interviewed the Chair to gather information about the purpose and function <br /> Active in Disaster of COAD in promoting resilience in times of disaster. <br /> Endeavors,Inc.-Supportive Endeavors,Inc.-Supportive The agency was interviewed for section AP-65 and provided information on <br /> Services for Veteran Families Services for Veteran Families the agency's goals and actions to alleviate homelessness. <br /> (SSVF) (SSVF) <br /> Greater San Marcos Youth Other-Youth And Family The agency was interviewed for section AP-85 and identified additional <br /> Council Counseling desired points of collaboration with the City. <br /> Hays Caldwell Women's Other-Victims Of Domestic The agency feels the communication with City staff is at a satisfactory level. <br /> According to the agency,better coordination would be for the city to <br /> Center Violence designate someone or take the lead in organizing the multitude of agencies. <br /> HOME Center of Central Homeless Needs-Chronically Interviewed the Director about services provided for people who are <br /> Texas Homeless homeless.HOME Center stated that many resources are not available to <br /> reduce the increasing housing instability. <br /> 2024-2025 CDBG ACTION PLAN Page 11 of 59 <br />
