<br />22 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Regular Meeting August 26, 1991 Page 2 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING <br />LOT 10, BLOCK 1 OF THE DAN MCKIE ADDITION NO.1 TO THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME X, PAGE 547 OF THE <br />HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, LOCATED AT 743 GRAVEL STREET, FROM <br />"R-1" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT [LOW DENSITY]) TO "M-R" <br />(MOBILE HOME AND RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT) AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak for or against the zoning amendment. No one did, so Mayor <br />Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of <br />the Ordinance and Mr. Plummer seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING <br />11.98 ACRES OF LAND OUT OF THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO.1 IN <br />THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, BEING THE PROPERTY DESCRIBED IN <br />A DEED FROM THE GEN-LYTE GROUP, INC. TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br />RECORDED IN VOLUME 879, PAGE 629, HAYS COUNTY REAL PROPERTY <br />RECORDS AND BEING A PORTION OF LOT 1, WIDE-LITE UNIT 1, A <br />SUBDIVISION OF RECORD IN VOLUME 5, PAGE 146, HAYS COUNTY PLAT <br />RECORDS, LOCATED AT 2300 IH35 SOUTH, FROM "I" (INDUSTRIAL <br />DISTRICT) TO uP" (PUBLIC AND INSTITUTIONAL DISTRICT) AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak for or against the zoning amendment. Police Chief Tom Martin <br />stated they are in support of this zoning change. No one else <br />wished to speak, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing.
