This grant application <br /> is to purchase the following, seven (7)revenue vehicles: <br /> 1-Six(6)40-ft low-floor clean diesel buses for a total cost of$3,135,621.72. <br /> 2-Partial funding of one(1)40-ft low-floor clean diesel buses for a total cost of$75,775.78 <br /> A local match for all the buses is $642,280 and it will be provided by Texas State University. <br /> The new replacement vehicles will be put into the Texas State University public transportation service. <br /> Texas State University will use these vehicles to replace vehicles in its currents fleet under RVI ID <br /> 354119, RVID 354120, and RVI ID 354121 in Texas State's NTD profile. <br /> Modern clean diesel engines are designed to be more fuel-efficient compared to older diesel engines. <br /> This means the vehicles to be purchased can travel longer distances on less fuel, resulting in reduced <br /> operating costs and lower fuel consumption and efficiency. This application will modernize the transit <br /> fleet, replace outdated vehicles, enhance operational capacity, and improve accessibility and reliability for <br />
