The following persons came forward <br />to speak on this item: <br />James Hobizal, 388 Spring River, Martindale, Texas, voiced his concern on changing the <br />minimum standards for fixed base operators and allowing unattended fueling service <br />operations. <br />Sonny Berry, 1807 Airport Drive, San Marcos, Texas, voiced his opposition to changing <br />the minimum standards for fixed base operators. <br />Geoff Weisbart, 111 Congress Avenue, Suite 500, Austin, Texas, representing Berry <br />Aviations, addressed FAA regulations and discrimination between businesses and noted <br />that Berry Aviation is held to standards above the minimum. TSA has security guidelines, <br />and the San Marcos Airport ranks very high at this time. Unattended fueling services will <br />pose a security risk, and there will be no record. <br />(20)MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Guerrero and a second by <br />Councilmember Couch, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to <br />approve Resolution 2008 -46R. The motion carried unanimously. <br />(21)MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Jones and a second by <br />Councilmember Thomaides, the City Council voted five (5) for and two (2) opposed, <br />with Councilmembers Bose and Thomaides voting against, to table Resolution 2008 -47R <br />until an April meeting. The motion carried. <br />End of Consent Agenda <br />22. Consideration on appointments to fill the vacancies on the Transportation <br />Advisory Committee and the Zoning Board of Adjustments. <br />Andy Howard was appointed to the Transportation Advisory Committee, and Lisa <br />Spencer was appointed to the Zoning Board of Adjustments. <br />23. Public Hearing to receive comments for and against a request for annexation by <br />Loomis Austin, as agent for Rick Anderson and Bob Mayo, for 563.199 acres of land <br />in the Wm. A. Matthews Survey and the B & G Fulcher League, Hays County and <br />Guadalupe County, Texas, being a portion of that certain tract of land calle to be <br />563.797 acres described in a deed to Stephen R. Smith, et al, of record in Volume <br />2650, Page 435, Official Records of Hays County, Texas, also known as the Hillert <br />tract. <br />Mayor Narvaiz opened the Public Hearing at 9:04 p.m. There were no public comments, <br />and the Public Hearing was closed at 9:04 p.m. <br />24.
