Consider an ordinance amending Chapter 58, Article 3 of the San Marcos City <br />Code; repealing provision that prohibit access to the San Marcos River at several <br />points below Spring Lake Dam; repealing provisions that currently prohibit a <br />person from stopping or standing in the spillway of any dam, flood control structure <br />or storm drain in or upon the San Marcos River; making it an offense for a person <br />to stop or stand in the spillway of Rio Vista Falls or interfere with another person <br />passing through that spillway; providing a penalty; and consider ordinance on the <br />first of three readings. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Thomaides and a second by <br />Councilmember Guerrero, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to <br />approve the ordinance on the first of three readings. Discussion on the improvements for McCarty Lane and direction to staff. <br />Laurie Anderson presented to the Council a more accurate map with the proposed <br />McCarty Lane/FM 110 improvements. She also presented bullet points for the <br />McCarty /Loop 110 Inter -local Agreement with Hays County delineating city and county <br />responsibilities. <br />Collette Jamison reported on the funding for this project.
