1 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, NOVEMBER 4, 1991 PRESENT: Mayor Kathy M. Morris Mayor Pro-Tem Ronald K. Hart Council Members Billy G. Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of appointments to the Mayor's Commission on Youth (Temporary) (Mr. Plummer present at this time 7:37 p.m.). Mr. Hernandez moved to appoint Linda Cobarruvias (parent) and appoint Lisa Tenorio (student), Mr. Plummer moved to appoint Mariam Diaz (parent) and Mr. Guerra withdrew his nomination of Mandy Cobarruvias (student) because her mother is serving on this Commission and will provide another name in the near future. Mr. Guerra moved sylvia Owens, Drug Education Coordinator with San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District, be included as a support member of the Commission. The Council voted unanimously for approval of these appointments. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an appointment to the commission for Women to complete a vacancy. Mayor Morris moved to appoint Bernice Gonzales, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an appointment to the Human Services Advisory Board to complete a vacancy. Mayor Morris moved to appoint Ollie Giles, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF THE CITY, FROM PERMANENT OPEN SPACE AND/OR FLOODPLAIN TO HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL FOR APPROXIMATELY 8.52 ACRES OUT OF THE RIVER RUN SUBDIVISION OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE 2200-2300 BLOCKS OF RIVER ROAD AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. * Mr. Plummer present at 7:37 p.m. and left at 12:12 a.m.; Mr. Guerra left the meeting at 9:04 p.m.
