Docusign Envelope ID:3EDD0960-FFF6-43E2-8E49-1A7B2008A238 <br /> The City of San Marcos,Texas Section 3 Income Limits—Effective April 18,2022 <br /> Section 3 Business Concern Definition: <br /> "Section 3 Business Concern" means a business concern meeting at least one of the following criteria, documented within <br /> the last six-month period: <br /> • The business is at least 51 percent owned and controlled by low-or very low-income persons; or <br /> • The business is at least 51 percent owned and controlled by current public housing residents or residents <br /> who currently live in Section 8-assisted housing; or <br /> • More than 75 percent of the labor hours performed for the business over the prior three-month period <br /> were performed by Section 3 workers. <br /> The status of a Section 3 business concern shall not be negatively affected by a prior arrest or conviction of its owner(s) <br /> or employees. <br /> Eligibility Guidelines: <br /> The worker's income must be at or below the amount provided below for an individual (household of 1) regardless of <br /> actual household size. <br /> Extremely Low Income (30%) $23,200 <br /> Very Low Income (50%) $38,650 <br /> Low Income (80%) $61,800 <br /> Section 3 Worker Definition: <br /> • A low or very low-income resident (the worker's income for the previous or annualized calendar year is <br /> below the income limit established by HUD); or <br /> • Employed by a Section 3 business concern; or <br /> • A Youth Build participant. <br /> Targeted Section 3 Worker Definition (for housing and community development): <br /> A Section 3 Worker who is: <br /> • Employed by a Section 3 business concern or <br /> • Currently meets or when hired met at least one of the following categories as documented within the past <br /> five years: <br /> o Living within the service area or the neighborhood of the project, as defined in 24 CFR 75.5 <br /> o A Youth Build participant. <br /> Last Updated: 12/20/21 Certification Form Four Page 2 of 2 <br />
